I am seeing this more and more on the major networks....just about any night you can find one that will exceed the normal time slot by a minute....sometimes 2 but that is rare...just enough to mess up...

Are you sure your DVR just isn't recognizing the external drive?  Try unpluging from power, or search forum for other instructions if this might be the case.

As Justin said yeah its fussy and won't let you do that, although it really should. You can go to it by going to DVR and picking the recording or by selecting the channel.

Lost, e.g., used to run 3 or more minutes late.  Lots of Primetime shows do this.  And yes its a pain.  The GUIDE has been accurate for me on the major network programs.  Recording the extra minutes....

Seeing a comment below, I may not have been clear.   This problem is ONLY related to viewing the recorded programs on a remote TV.   When watched on the  TV with the DVR, they are just fine.
