status/update (in case anybody's wondering) - no change, still waiting. I did use online capability to add to comment on the repair ticket to let them know still unresolved. Ticket still says will be resolved by today 4PM (two hours ago).
So, I'll not post again to this thread until/unless I get some response from Verizon (hopefully a fix)
