Which is exactly why I'm fuming! Why does a tech need to dispatched (I already am weary of technicians coming into my house as is) when all they really need to do is acknowledge that they disabled the QAM signals. I was enjoying that aspect of my local tv only package and then they pull the plug. Tech support, once again, wants to send someone out.
Fios has been great. There was one issue before where my battery kicked on and we couldn't figure out why. There were two loose wires that I wound up resecuring my self which solved that issue and allowed me to cancel a technician's visit. This right here is nonsense. Just because I didn't have a setop box they didn't said they couldn't diagnose. Some of us opted not to have a box because of that insane rental fee (Yeah $6 but that is extra money piled on with various gov't fees that increase our bill) and because it is less clutter. If they make me leave work and only tell me I'm **bleep**, I'll gladly cancel the TV service and reconnect my antennae and tuner box.
