My current services are:
- FiOS Digital Voice Unlimited
- FiOS Internet 25/25
I am strongly considering adding FiOS TV. I do not currently have cable TV, and the coaxial wiring in my house is shoddy. I'd like to have the house re-wired on installation day, with better cabling and better-positioned coax outlets. Just want a great user experience.
- Will Verizon (or their subcontractor) run new cabling throughout my house and, if I would like, install new coax outlets? If so, is there a reasonable chance that a technician would run the cabling as a 'drop' into my rooms (from behind the drywall, rather than solely tacking the cabling to my house's exterior)?
- I'm in a multi-family home. The basement apartment family FiOS TV/Internet/Voice -- all on an account separate from my family's account. Please confirm: Verizon will install a separate, additional ONT box for my family, correct?
- I want a total of 6 rooms wired for cable: 4 on the top floor and 2 on the first floor. However, I'm not getting 6 cable boxes. I own a Tivo, and for the foreseeable future, I'm only going to need one Cablecard for that Tivo. No cable boxes at all. Is the fact that I'm not having a bunch of actual cable boxes installed going to prevent me from being able to have the Verizon technician install cabling to all 6 rooms?
- Roughly what will the installation cost be for what I've described above (just looking for a very rough estimate)?
Thank you
