Please do not cancel and reactivate service, that would actually make things much longer for you.
You need a repair tech. Did you let them at least put you on the schedule? If there is a fiber line broken in the area or something many times those problems get fixed within the first 24 hours. Otherwise if it is a problem with the equipment in your home then you will need for that tech to come to your house. Did they have you check your BBU for power?
